Colour copper engraving ? Color copper engraving is an intaglio technique which is very similar to drypoint. The difference lies in used tools. The artist uses engraving tools to carve an image on the plate. The lines are completely sharp without characteristic for drypoint blur on the edges. In the printing process, the artist can use multi color plates or a single plate that carries many colors. Relief print ? Relief printing is family of printmaking techniques like woodcut, linocut or plaster print. Artists use sharp tools (gouges) to carve a drawing into the surface of a block made of wood or other hard materials. The incised parts of the surface are non-printing areas which means that the drawing is in negative.
