Intaglio ? Intaglio is a family of printmaking techniques like etching, copper engraving, and mezzotint. Intaglio can use both, etching with acid or drawing with sharp tools (needles or engraving tools). Intaglio is a positive technique which means that recessed areas below the surface of the plate will carry the ink. Nowadays, artists are really creative.
