Introduction to Drawing I

Aquatint ? The aquatint is an intaglio printmaking technique. In that process, artists use acids (nitric acid) to create flat areas of tone on a surface of copper or zinc plate (in opposition to the Etching in which the artist uses lines to draw). The aquatint is usually mixed with the Etching, to give both lines and tones.
